Recent examples, however, also include adjectives. Recent examples on a nominal base are counterculture, countereffect, counterstrike; on a verbal base counterdemonstrate; on an adjectival base counterattractive, counterintuitive, counterproductive. The prefix still seems to be extremely productive.
